Yes, in Accountable you can also upload receipts retrospectively without any problems. This means you can upload and manage receipts from the years 2022 and 2023 as well as for earlier years. It is not limited to the current quarter or month.
Booking a partner tax advisor of Accountable is an optional additional service. Since you as a user already do a lot of the preparatory work by uploading and sorting receipts, the tax advisor can work more efficiently. However, the prices for tax advisors are individual and depend on various factors, such as your annual turnover and the complexity of your accounting. It is advisable to negotiate prices directly with the tax advisor. A general price range for freelancers with an annual turnover of €100,000 could be between €500 and €2,000, but can vary.
Simply upload all invoices and expenses for the years for which you want to submit your tax returns via Accountable. If you also want to submit tax returns for previous years, you can select the relevant year in the settings under ‘Taxes’. You have several options for uploading your files:
- Manually: Upload the files directly to Accountable.
- By email: Send invoices and receipts to [email protected] (for expenses) and [email protected] (for income).
- Via GetMyInvoices: Connect your previous provider and transfer the data directly to Accountable.
Please make sure that the documents are attached individually and are in PDF, JPG or PNG format. Once everything has been uploaded, the transfer is complete.

Accountable offers a switch discount of 25 % on the first year of an annual subscription. To do this, you can first create an Accountable account for free. Then write a short email to [email protected] or contact us directly in the chat in the app. We will then generate and send you your personalised discount link.
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to create tax returns for a GbR. Accountable is primarily aimed at solopreneurs and freelancers. For requirements such as those of a GbR, it is recommended to consult a tax advisor. However, Accountable supports you in managing your income and expenses and allows you to export data that you can then use for your tax return.
SevDesk and Accountable are both bookkeeping and tax solutions, but there are some key differences.
SevDesk offers extensive features such as invoicing, accounting, inventory management and a variety of integrations.
Accountable focuses more on the automation of tax processes and the direct preparation of tax returns. Accountable is also particularly designed for those who do not have in-depth tax knowledge due to its ease of use. Accountable offers strong personalised support for tax issues and actively helps with tax return preparation.
